Molly Elizabeth O’Connor and Eric Edward Campinell were introduced in 2002 by one of the groom’s childhood friends. Three years later Eric surprised Molly with an early Christmas present — a proposal of marriage. Father Frank C. McGrath married the couple in an afternoon ceremony at St. John’s Church in Darien. The bride and her father arrived at the church in her maternal grandfather’s Model A Ford. An evening reception followed at the Belle Haven Club in Greenwich, where the head table dined using flatware and china borrowed from both the bride and the groom’s great-grandparents.

The bride is a 1995 graduate of Darien High School and received a liberal arts degree from Boston University. She is an integrated marketing manager at MTV Networks in New York City, where the couple lives. Her parents are John and Moira O’Connor of Darien.

The groom is a 1992 graduate of Greenwich High School and received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Lehigh University. He is an advertising sales account executive at MTV Networks. His parents are Joseph and Mary Campinell of Old Greenwich.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Maui and Kauai.

Jennifer Whitney Albus and Eric William Sydor both attended New Canaan High School and had mutual friends in town. However, they didn’t meet until each had graduated from college and was living back home, when they had a chance encounter on the commuter train returning to New Canaan from New York City.

Three years later Eric proposed over a candlelight dinner on the beach. The Reverend Monsignor William J. Scheyd married the couple at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Following the ceremony the newlyweds went to the New Canaan train station to take photographs at the place where they met. Then they joined the bridal party for a reception at the Country Club of New Canaan. To introduce the couple as husband and wife, the wedding party joined Jenny and Eric in a skit about their meeting, narrated by the bride’s childhood friend and fellow NCHS graduate Meghan Murphy.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and holds a bachelor’s degree in business and in studio art. She is a marketing specialist with Brooks Brothers in New York City. Her parents are Robert E. and Patricia R. Albus of New Canaan.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Hartwick College in Oneonta, NewYork, with a bachelor’s degree in computer information sciences. He is the founder of ESydor Media, LLC, a Stamford-based company specializing in website design, photography and Internet advertising. His parents are Catherine K. Sydor of New Canaan and John Sydor of Litchfield.

After a two-week honeymoon in Bali and Singapore, the couple returned home to Stamford.
