Jennifer Crozer Acker and Ethan Douglas Ayer met at a Christmas party at the Neue Gallery in New York. When Ethan proposed to Jennifer several years later, he chose the anniversary of that meeting and popped the question on a favorite rock outcropping in Central Park, where he had buried a big bouquet of roses under a pile of leaves earlier in the day. The Reverend Robert Cupp officiated at the ceremony at the Round Hill Community Church, and a reception followed at the Belle Haven Club. The couple left the reception by boat, with all of their guests waving glow lights from the balcony.
