Indoor Fun for Fall

Need to keep the kids occupied for the weekend? Then make a day of it in Norwalk...

Indoor Fun for Fall

Friday August 8th

Head over to My Three Sons for a slew of arcade games (and of course you'll take home a ton of toys from all the tickets you win!) + laser tag and Cathy's Castle. The kids can even make their own stuffed animal (just like Build a Bear, but cheaper and with no long lines to wait it).

Of course, don't forget about a great American pastime — bowling! At Rip Van Winkle Lanes, weekday bowling rates and shoe rentals are inexpensive, and you can feel free to bring your own food!

The last hot-spot for kids is (of course) the Maritime Aquarium and IMAX Theater. Now through Sept. 1st, see an 8 1/2 foot albino alligator (in the aquarium) or check out "Kung Fu Panda" in 3-D (on the BIG screen). Movie times are limited, so click on the link to check the website.

So there you have it! A weekend's worth of activities to keep the kids happy and you sane.

Thursday August 7th

If you have little ones, check out Playtime Village in Monroe. It's an indoor haven with every Little Tykes car, princess costume, toys, books and more. Sit back and let them explore. One important note: socks are required for all children AND adults.

Wednesday August 6th

Don’t want to drive? Then Stepping Stones Museum for Children is always a safe bet. It is a ton of indoor and outdoor fun (especially their bubbles in the courtyard!) and don’t forget to visit the fantastic playgroup at the end of the parking lot.

Monday, August 4th

If your kids like to run wild, then venture just north of Fairfield County to Bounce U in Stratford. It’s clean, the owner and her staff are friendly and although it is for the kids, adults will love it too. Make sure you make a reservation.
